Dr.( Prof) Amardeep Kumar MD (Psychiatry)

Dr. Amardeep Kumar has done his MD in psychiatry from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi. He has 23 years of experience of working in mental health. He has worked in India and abroad. After completing his MD in Psychiatry, Dr. (Prof) Kumar worked as Senior Resident at AIIMS, New Delhi. Thereafter, he worked as Senior Registrar at Adelaide Health Services at Australia. The lure of serving people back home compelled him to return to India. He is working in Bihar since 2010 in both private and public sector. He has worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Patna Medical College. Thereafter, he worked at Bhagwan Mahavir Ayurvigyan Sansthan, Pawapuri, Nalanda in the capacity of Associate Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatry. He is currently working as Professor and Head of Department at Bhagwan Mahavir Ayurvigyan Sansthan, Pawapuri. He i runs his own private clinic as well. After seeing the mental health services in the public and private sector and assessing the mental health care needs of the people to get good quality treatment, the idea of a separate dedicated hospital for mental illness was conceptualized by him and 'Mind Hospital' has been started.
